My logo is a magic wand. It's symbolic of my work. Magic happens everyday in my practice when people who are stressed or scared or out of control have the courage to make a change. Our work together is magical. We learn from each other. Sometimes, we use my magic wand to help us imagine how life could be and what we are working toward. I believe every life needs a little magic, which is why I chose this excerpt from the fortune telling cards. I picked Mellow Melanie who says, "Imagine you are filled with flowers and have a great day." She's all about Magic.  

Madame Dora's Fortune-Telling Cards

MADAME DORA SAYS In my day, when the going got tough, we took a trip to fantasyland by reading movie magazines, going to the pictures, or pretending we were movie stars. We knew that sometimes we needed to disappear into our imaginations, because the reality of life wasn't always pretty. That's how I started wearing purple, which is my trademark color. I was reading a movie magazine, and my favorite star had on the most beautiful purple dress. Maybe I couldn't look like her, but every time I would wear something purple, I'd feel like a million bucks. Magic starts and ends in the mind.

IF YOU PULL THIS CARD You are so stressed that you cannot even begin to address the issues causing your stress. Madame Dora knows that you needed to pick this card and hear in the strongest terms that your life is out of control. A long-term solution is beyond your capability in this state of mind. Do something immediate and of short duration. Escape to the nearest day spa, yoga retreat, or pool hall. Scan the room and pick out one person. Approach her or her. This person will be your magical Mellow Melanie, waiting for you in your oasis of choice. Befriend this person now and you'll have an ally for life-someone who will help you shake off the shackles of stress.

IF YOU PULL THIS CARD IN THE REVERSE POSITION Mellow is good. Catatonic is not. You're living in a fantasy world, waiting for Prince Charming to come and rescue you. He's not coming. Your so-called rescuer is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Mellow Melanie instructs you to fade the music. If you contemplate your circle of friends, you will quickly identify the false Prince Charming. Send him on his way. Get over it and got get a life based on simple practicalities. There's no magic in this relationship.
